Roman Ruins of Djémila

Djémila, known as CUICUL, is located northeast of Setif, at an altitude of 900 meters. The site occupies approximately 42 hectares. It was classified as a world heritage site in 1982. Its foundation dates back to the reign of the Roman emperor Nerva in the years 96 and 97 AD. It also contains a museum that includes significant archaeological wealth. It constitutes, on the archaeological level, one of the jewels of the national and even universal heritage.
